Welcome to the page full of all your basic necessities on how to operate the wiki! If something you want to know how to do isn't on the page, then post a message at the bottom of this page; someone should be able to help you out. Please add to this page as you deem necessary and have fun!
Changing Your Username or Password
In order to change your username or password, you need to click on your username in the top right corner. then go to "account." There should be the words "change password" or "change username" somewhere under your picture. Click on that. Do what the pop up box says, then hit save and your good!
Creating a Page/Homepage
If you're not already on the "wikitikitembo2" page click on it in the top left of the screen. On that page should be an icon of a blue paper. If you click on it, you will be asked to add a link text and tags. The link text will be the title of your page, so make it whatever you want; the tags aren't necessary, but if you want, you can experiment to see what they do. Click on "create" and it will be created.
Linking a Page
Go to whichever page you want to link your page to; for example the "Period 4 " page. A button should pop up on the top right saying "edit" with the icon of a pencil and paper. Click where you want to put your link. In some cases you might have to click the end of the line above where you want the link and press enter ("return" on mac) instead of clicking where you want it. There's a button with the picture of a chain link at the top that says "link" after you have clicked edit. Click on that. Make sure it says "wikitikitembo2." Where it says "page name," type in your page that you created and then hit "link text." If you haven't already created a page then follow the instructions from "Creating a Page," above this tutorial."Link text" is the what people will click on to get to your page (basically a title for your page). If you haven't already created a page then follow the instructions from "Creating a Page" Click on add link and you're all set!
Uploading Videos
Go to the page that you want to upload a video and click edit. On the upper right part of the edit tools, there should be something called "Widget." Click on it and an extra screen should pop up and should have all these words. Click on "Video," which is the second word on the left part of the extra screen. If you look a little to the right, you should see another column of words that look like video browsers. Click on Youtube, and the right part of the screen will change. Either read the instructions and follow as instructed, or listen to this simpler version of it. Go to Youtube, search the video that you want to upload, click on it, and pause the video. go right under the name of the video and select the "Share" button, which looks like a ray, but with the endpoints located. Then look a little bit down, and you should see the word "embed," and if you do see it, click on it. Then copy the highlighted jumble of letters, signs, and numbers, go back to the page you want to upload it on, and go to the youtube part and paste the "embed" jumble of letters, signs, and numbers, onto the blank part, then select "Save" if you don't need a preview or select "Preview" to see what it will look like after you save it. Remember, before you click "Widget," select the line you want to put it in. You can move it after uploading it, but this way works a lot faster. Try not to upload the pictures on the bottom line. First, you should click Enter or Return and then upload it, but not on the bottom line. Then save the draft and that's it!

Then a mini extra screen will pop up and select the button "Upload Files." Then your downloads will appear. If you already downloaded the picture, then select it and you're done! If not, then first, right click the picture you want to download, then click "Save Image As..." and again, your downloads will pop up. Either click "Save" or rename it and then click "Save." Remember, before you click "File," select the line you want to put it in. You can move it after uploading it, but this way works a lot faster. Try not to upload the pictures on the bottom line. First, you should click Enter or Return and then upload it, but not on the bottom line. So that's it!
